For our client, a globally operating company in the aerospace industry based in Manching, we are currently filling the following position:

System Engineer (m/f/d) Flight Management Systems

Your Job Description

Ability to capture and analyze requirements for both military and civil flight management systems and air traffic control
Capability to perform concept and architecture engineering for flight management systems
Experience in the design and development of FMS and automation functions to support the integration of RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) into the general airspace
Proven expertise in the design and development of flight control functions
Responsibility for managing suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring successful integration and timely delivery
Proficiency in specifying and managing verification and validation activities, including lab, ground, and flight testing
Support for standardization and certification activities in collaboration with international regulatory bodies and agencies
Ability to contribute to the operational support of systems and ensure their continuous performance
Active involvement in research activities related to flight management and control systems

Your qualification profile

Successfully completed studies in the field of physics or aerospace engineering, or a comparable qualification
Experience in systems engineering is required
Knowledge of flight management systems or similar systems is necessary
Experience with UAV/RPAS is an advantage
Proficiency in the use of design and simulation tools is required (e.g., Matlab/Simulink, SCADE)
English language is required
German language skills are desirable
High level of motivation
Willingness to work in an international team
